001 - [VIDEO] - re-introductions
[The video feed turns on, and there's a young woman with blonde hair and blue eyes looking into the camera. She looks like a teenager, and she sort of is. She's wearing a very hopeful smile, and gives the camera a little wave.]
So...the Barge again. It's been a while.
[Her smile grows wider.]
I've been gone so long, there probably isn't anyone left who remembers me. My name's Laura. Laura Palmer. I was an inmate here, oh...it seems like forever ago, now! I didn't think I'd be coming back, but life is full of unexpected turns.
[She shrugs. She's rather perky today, mostly because she really wants to start out on the right foot. Her hope is nearly palpable.]
I'm a warden now, and I want to help out however I can. Who's in charge of the kitchen? Are there any shifts I can take over? I have experience in large-scale food preparation--I started the Meals-on-Wheels program in my town and I worked the dinner shift as an inmate. I'd be more than happy to sign on!
[Working in the kitchen is one of her fondest memories of her time here.]
If there's nothing free there, I can work in the library, I guess. Or maybe somewhere else. Let me know where I can volunteer!
[She loves volunteer work, guys. She always has.]

A warden.
Hello, Palmer.

[Oh hi there, she remembers him very well. On one hand, Arthas was sort of concerned for her well-being last time she was here. On the other, the pale horse resulting from his/Frostmourne's massacre had scared her half to death.
Her smile is a little more wan, now, but she's making the effort. She doesn't have anything against him on a personal level, but the memory of the horse incident lingers.]
How are you?

[Arthas knows a little more about her circumstances than the others, simply by virtue of having been present for her previous stay.]

I don't think there's anything open in the kitchens. I'll make some inquiries though...See if I can find you a place to do it if you're eager. There's always going to be a shift short of somebody.

If I may ask...why did you come back?

[And/or sanity. There's no telling what BOB would do in Cooper's body.]
Who are you? You definitely weren't here last time.
You may call me Aya. I am also a Warden.
Re: [video]
[He solved her murder only to be possessed by her killer. She owes him bigtime.]
Nice to meet you, Aya. I don't want to be insensitive, but can I ask...what you are?
[Because she's clearly not human.]

[She shrugs with one shoulder, still smiling.]
I'm trying to be optimistic. I really wish my old warden was here, though.

Optimism is in short supply around here, we could use some more of it. You got one of the good ones, huh?

[Sorry, this dinner shift guy is a little different from Paddy, though.]

I was hoping to supervise a shift. Cooking, serving, cleaning up. You know.

Probably, since I don't recognize you either. What's your name?

It's good to see someone come back. [Better than Laura knows.] Least you come here, you know what to expect.
